3 December 2000 - Hoo Hing donates £10,000 to charity
Hackney Chinese Community Services has provided home visits and befriending services
for many years to elderly who require extra care. But they have found that even though
they provide the maximum hours of personal care services for some elderly, they are still
at risk when staying at their own homes. That is why Hackney Chinese Community Services
decided to establish a Chinese Residential Nursing Home in London for all the Chinese
community in the UK.
Hoo Hing Ltd. with the help of some of our suppliers went all out to raise money for
this project by donating £1 per item sold from a list of products.
On the 3rd December 2000 Fong Ye Kei joined us at our
Christmas celebration where she accepted a cheque for £10,000 on behalf of the
Hackney Chinese Community Service. We
would like to thank everyone that contributed.
